Academic Partners

Academic Partners are a cornerstone of the WNPC. They are institutions of higher education located in Worcester, MA that offer nursing related programs leading to an Associates Degree, Bachelor Degree or an Advanced Degree. Academic Partners work with the WNPC and its membership to provide partnerships and programs that augment and compliment the academic program with real world practicums.
They are also working to address the nursing shortage by expanding capacity through nurse educator programs.
Anna Maria College
Anna Maria College, located in Paxton, Massachusetts, is a private Catholic college. The Anna Maria College Nursing program offers both an Associate Degree (AD) in Nursing and a Registered Nurse (RN) to Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Nursing. These programs meet the needs of students who are not RNs as well as students who are Associate Degree Registered Nurses (ADRNs) and wish to obtain a BS degree. Becker College
Becker College, with campuses located in both Worcester and Leicester Massachusetts, is a private college. The Becker College Nursing program offers both an Associate Degree (AD) in Nursing and a Registered Nurse (RN) to Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Nursing. These programs meet the needs of students who are not RNs as well as students who are Associate Degree Registered Nurses (ADRNs and wish to obtain a BS degree. Fitchburg State University
Fitchburg State University is a public university located in Fitchburg, Massachusetts. The Department of Nursing offers a four-year Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N.) and an R.N. to B.S.N. program. The RN to BSN program is available on-line. Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences
The Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences has campuses in Worcester, Boston, and Manchester, New Hampshire. The School of Nursing in Worcester, Massachusetts offers a 16-month accelerated post-baccalaureate Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN) program. This is for students who have a 4-year college degree in a non-nursing field. Students can obtain a BSN degree in 16 months. Quinsigamond Community College is a 2-year associate degree college located in Worcester, Massachusetts. The Nursing Education program offers a 2-year Associate Degree (AD) program for registered nurses and a Practical Nurse program. University of Massachusetts Graduate School of Nursing
UMass Graduate School of Nursing is a public university located in Worcester, Massachusetts. The Graduate School of Nursing offers an accelerated nursing program for individuals with a baccalaureate degree in a field other than nursing. This program enables individuals to receive Registered Nurse (RN) licensure and a Master’s Degree (MS) as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Nurse Educator within a 3-year timeframe. For students who already hold a baccalaureate degree in nursing, the School offers NP and Nurse Educator MS Degree programs, a PhD in Nursing degree and a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree. The School also offers an accelerated PhD program for students with a baccalaureate degree in nursing (BSN). Worcester State University is a public university located in Worcester, Massachusetts.
