The Worcester Nursing Pipeline Consortium was formed in 2000 after receiving funding by a grant from the Fairlawn Foundation of Worcester.   With its six founding academic partners, and in response to the local nurse and nurse educator shortage, WNPC established its mission to increase enrollment, retention, graduation and academic advancement of qualified nursing students and nurses committed to improving healthcare in Worcester and Central Massachusetts.

Now, ten years later, the Consortium has expanded its membership to seventeen and includes Academic, Clinical and Community Partners within Worcester, Mass. who share common goals and interests related to recruiting students into nursing careers and supporting the development of faculty nurse educators.

Programs sponsored by WNPC and its partners include:  nursing student recruitment campaigns, novice nurse educator events, workshops, mentorship programs, preceptor partnerships, collateral creation, marketing and more.
