Fairlawn Nursing Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

Information on Fairlawn Nursing Scholarship Eligibility Criteria for acceptance in our Academic Partner programs.

Quinsigamond Community College-PNP/LPN Program

  1. Demonstrated commitment to improving the health care of residents in Worcester, MA.
  2. Demonstrated interest in clinical practice and health care delivery through documented clinical, community and work experiences.
  3. Accepted PNP student and currently enrolled in the PNP program.
  4. Minimum course grade average of 80 at the time of application deadline.
  5. Willingness to serve as an outreach ambassador for the WNPC 10-15 hours/semester.
  6. Commitment to practice nursing in the Worcester community upon completion of the PNP program.

Quinsigamond Community College-ADN Program

  1. Demonstrated commitment to improving the health care of residents in Worcester, MA.
  2. Demonstrated interest in clinical practice and health care delivery through documented clinical, community and work experiences.
  3. Accepted ADN student and currently enrolled in the program.
  4. Minimum course grade average of 80 at the time of application deadline for Nursing I students. Minimum of GPA of 2.7 and a student in good standing at the time of application deadline for Nursing II, III and IV students.
  5. Willingness to serve as an outreach ambassador for the WNPC 10-15 hours/ semester.
  6. Commitment to practice nursing in the Worcester community upon completion of ADN program.

Worcester State University- Baccalaureate Program

  1. Demonstrated commitment to improving the health care of residents in Worcester, MA.
  2. Demonstrated interest in clinical practice and health care delivery through documented clinical, community and work experiences.
  3. Accepted generic BS student.
  4. Minimum GPA of 3.0 and a student in good standing
  5. Willingness to serve as an outreach ambassador for the WNPC 10-15 hours/ semester.
  6. Commitment to practice nursing in the Worcester community upon completion of the program

Worcester State University- RN to BS Program

  1. Demonstrated commitment to improving the health care of residents in Worcester, MA.
  2. Demonstrated interest in clinical practice and health care delivery through documented clinical, community and work experiences.
  3. Accepted RN to BS student.
  4. Minimum GPA of 3.0 and a student in good standing.
  5. Willingness to serve as an outreach ambassador for the WNPC 10-15 hours/ semester.
  6. Commitment to practice nursing in the Worcester community upon completion of the program

Worcester State University- MS Program

  1. Demonstrated commitment to improving the health care of residents in Worcester, MA.
  2. Demonstrated interest in clinical practice and health care delivery through documented clinical, community and work experiences.
  3. Accepted and matriculated MS student.
  4. Minimum GPA of 3.0 and a student in good standing.
  5. Willingness to serve as an outreach ambassador for the WNPC 10-15 hours/ semester.
  6. Commitment to practice nursing in the Worcester community upon completion of the program

UMass Graduate School of Nursing- MS & Ph.D. Programs

  1. Demonstrated commitment to improving the health care of residents in Worcester, MA.
  2. Evidence of clinical practice and/or research interest in improving the care and health of people in Worcester, MA as part of graduate study.
  3. Identified clinical research area, e.g. dissertation topic, research project, subspecialty clinical experience, grants, or publications.
  4. Matriculated student.
  5. Minimum GPA of 3.0 and in good standing.
  6. Willingness to serve as an outreach ambassador for the WNPC 10-15 hours/ semester.
  7. Commitment to practice nursing in the Worcester community upon completion of the program.
